Wide choice of accommodations options
Various accommodation options provide the space, comfort and flexibility needed to host sports groups of all sizes. With a large number of beds available, they are perfect for tournaments, training camps, multi-team events and more. We can accommodate groups from 10 to 1,200 people.
Your group can choose from a variety of room types and price points, ranging from affordable traditional dormitory rooms with two single beds to spacious one-bedroom suites, making it easy to meet different budget needs.
Multi-bedroom apartment-style accommodations offer shared living spaces while ensuring privacy and security with individual, lockable bedrooms for each guest.
Traditional dormitory accommodations feature newly renovated, modern washrooms with private, enclosed shower stalls.
All rooms are equipped with either a mini-fridge or a full-sized fridge; apartments also include a microwave.
Please note that none of our rooms are equipped with utensils, dishes, or cookware. You are welcome to bring your own.
All accommodation buildings have secure, key-locked entrances.
Youth under 18 cannot stay on campus or check in without a parent or chaperone.
Youth groups under 18 require dedicated chaperones to stay in the same building for supervision purposes, with a one adult per 10 youths ratio.



Food options
Kitchen rentals are available for teams that wish to prepare their meals, offering flexibility and control over dietary needs and schedules.
If you're looking for convenient meal solutions suitable for athletes, the Summer Group Meal Plan offers a cost-effective option with of nutritious meals, available through advance arrangements and payment. A minimum of 30 guests is required for the meal plan. Dietary options can be accommodated upon request.
Private meeting spaces are available for booking to accommodate special team events, such as banquets, pizza nights, coaches' meetings or other events. Please see our catering menu for food options. Click to view the BBQ menu.
For groups arranging their own meals, athletes can visit the or the nearby , which offers multiple dining options to suit a variety of tastes and preferences.
Campus Recreation
When your team books accommodations on campus, you can add on Campus Recreation passes for just *$6 per person, per day.
These passes provide access to world-class facilities, including the Fitness Centre, Racquet Centre, Aquatic Centre and Climbing/Bouldering Walls.
Minimum age restrictions apply for Fitness Centre access; participants must be 17 or older.

Additional information
Convenient, overnight parking is available on campus for guests and groups, making arrivals and departures hassle-free. If your group is travelling by bus, we have dedicated bus drop-off zones designed to provide safe and easy access for passengers and luggage drop-off. Please coordinate with the Sales Team on the location better suited for your group.
For overnight bus parking, designated parking areas are available on campus.
Both bus parking and standard vehicle parking passes must be purchased prior to parking, and a licence plate is required at the time of purchase. Overnight parking passes for guests staying on campus are available for purchase at the front desk, located in International House.
Group parking can be pre-arranged to be billed to the group's master account prior to arrival.
Your group can take advantage of communal lounges located within most of the accommodation buildings as well as in other areas across campus, providing comfortable spaces for your team to relax, gather, and socialize with other teams.
Additionally, the following spaces are available for bookings on campus ($):
- private lounges within the accommodation buildings
- classrooms and lecture halls (30-400 people capacity)
- formal meeting spaces (10-500 capacity)
- on-campus green spaces
If your group needs outdoor fields or indoor gyms for practices, they can be reserved on campus through the Kinesiology department by contacting bookings@ucalgary.ca.
Additional fees apply.
Your group does not need to bring any bedding, as all necessary items are provided.
Each person will receive the following:
- linens
- a blanket
- a pillow
- one bath towel
If anyone prefers more than one towel, it is recommended to bring an extra one (non-white). Additional amenities in the room include soap, shampoo and a plastic cup.
Hair dryers are not provided.
Your group can have access to washing and drying machines conveniently located in each accommodation building, making laundry easy and accessible during the stay.
To use the machines and pay, simply download the Coinamatic app. Instructions are provided in every laundry facility to guide users through the process, or are available at the front desk, located in International House.
Semi-accessible rooms are available on campus. Please inquire at the time of reservation to ensure proper arrangements are made for all guests' comfort and convenience.
Pets are not permitted in accommodations. The university maintains a strict pet-free policy to ensure a safe, comfortable, and allergen-free environment for all guests.
Special consideration is allowed for service animals only. If a certified service animal will be accompanying the team, please advise in advance to make appropriate arrangements.
The accommodations, most recently International House and Yumnuska Hall, were exactly as expected—quiet, clean, and private—but what truly stood out was the outstanding service we received from the university team. We are grateful for their professionalism, responsiveness, care and understanding of hosting busy events.
